Getting to your sports venue
1. Games Transport Pass - GTP
Transport to and from venues remote from the Games Village will be provided. Please note transport to remote venues will run from the Games Village and return to the Games Village. To make use of this service competitors and accompanying persons must purchase a Games Transport Pass. Passes will cost of £5-00. Applications for passes can be made, via the Games Call Centre on +44(0)870 888 1888 or the Games website on www.wfg08.com Passes will have to be picked up at the Games Village during the Accreditation process. Sports for which Games Transport Passes are available are indicated in the Sports Information sections by the prefix GTP. Please note that the passes only entitle competitors (and associated accompanying persons) to travel to and from venues for events in which they hold a registration.
2. Public Transport Pass - PTP
Public Transport Hopper Passes will also be available. If you require access to public transport we suggest you buy an all zones trio ticket from Merseytravel. These passes will allow competitors and accompanying person’s access to public transport on Merseyside including the buses, trains and ferries. A pass will cost £29 for adults and £14.40 for under 16’s, for 7 days travel. To purchase a pass, please download the pdf document and follow the simply instructions contained within the document.
