Ramp - Up!
Providing the significant sponsorship by the Foundation for Sports and the Arts (FSA) to purchasing a Portable Half-pipe, WFG is in partnership with Rampworx Youth Village to deliver a series of free demonstration and taster session on skateboarding to the public from March 2008.
Sessions Tour will be taken place at Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service premises, Liverpool Echo Arena, as well as other public venues across Merseyside.

Tour will be kicked off on Monday 17th March 2008, 10am - 2pm, at Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle, Merseyside L30 4YD!!!
Rampworx is both pleased and proud to be working in partnership with the MFRS. Rampworx believes in developing young people and working alongside professional, community based projects that seek to include and enhance the lives of those that live within it and this project will allow us to do just that. The MFRS will really enhance what Rampworx can offer as a young persons charity. The funding for the 'much needed' equipment will enable the project to establish outreach projects, particularly disadvantaged areas, within the Merseyside area. This will give young people the opportunity to access fun and alternative sporting projects in a structured setting - thus addressing a multitude of factors; including social cohesion, health and obesity, personal development and education under the umbrella of the Fire Service. We are extremely excited about the partnership and the forthcoming events that will take place in the Capital of Culture year, culminating in a truly fantastic International event in the form of the World Firefighters Games 08. I am sure that this will be a great year for both Rampworx and the MFRS and we hope that this new and positive partnership will continue indefinitely.
